Tata Motors Records Strong Q2 FY27 Sales Growth Across Commercial Vehicle Segments

Tata Motors Limited has released its sales figures for the second quarter of fiscal year 2027, reporting a year-on-year rise of 42.7% in total units sold. The company moved 1,35,114 units across domestic and international markets during the quarter, a marked improvement over the 94,681 units recorded in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year. The growth was distributed across multiple vehicle segments, reflecting broad-based demand rather than concentration in any single category.

Heavy and Intermediate Commercial Vehicles

Among the various segments contributing to this performance, Heavy Commercial Vehicle (HCV) trucks posted a 40.3% year-on-year increase in sales volumes. The Intermediate and Light Commercial Vehicle (ILMCV) truck category followed with a 24.4% rise during the same period. These numbers point to sustained activity in sectors that rely heavily on freight movement and cargo transportation.
