These updated regulatory mandates are slated to become legally enforceable starting October 01, 2026. By invoking the statutory powers granted under Section 35A of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949, the apex bank aims to foster greater transparency, eliminate discriminatory banking practices, and align deposit pricing with robust liquidity management frameworks.
