Extension of NPS e-Shramik Onboarding Incentive by PFRDA for FY 2026-27
The regulatory authority overseeing the pension sector in India has officially prolonged the validity of the financial rewards granted for enrolling gig economy participants into the National Pension System (NPS). Vide Circular No. PFRDA/2026/43/P&DCORP/02, issued on August 18, 2026, the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) has announced that the ₹100 onboarding incentive under the NPS e-shramik (Platform Service Partner) Model will remain active throughout FY 2026-27.
This strategic move aims to bolster the social security net for independent contractors, platform workers, and other unorganized sector participants who function as individual assessees managing their own retirement planning.
