ICSI June 2026 CS Answer Books: Online Access, Conditions and Procedure

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India has put in place a dedicated online mechanism for students of the June 2026 CS examination session to obtain copies of their evaluated Answer Books. This facility is made available through the ICSI Examination Answer Book Portal and is specifically intended to eliminate the need to file applications under the Right to Information framework for this purpose.

The following note explains, in a structured and simplified manner, how students can use this facility, the applicable timelines, restrictions on usage, and the procedure for raising any grievance about valuation under Regulation 42(2) of the CS Regulations, 1982.

1. Time Limit for Supply of Evaluated Answer Books

ICSI will provide the copies of evaluated Answer Books only within the period specified in its Record Retention schedule.

  • The Record Retention period is 45 days from the date of declaration of result.
  • For the June 2026 CS examination session, the facility will ordinarily remain available up to 9th October, 2026.
  • Once this period lapses, the Institute is not obliged to retain or provide Answer Books for that examination session.

Important: Students must act within the Record Retention window. Any delay beyond 9th October, 2026 may result in loss of access to Answer Books, regardless of the reason.

2. Who Can Apply and Nature of Information

2.1 Eligibility to Apply

  • Any student who appeared in the June 2026 CS examination may seek a copy of his or her evaluated Answer Book(s).
  • There is no restriction by level, module or subject—a student can request copies for one paper, multiple papers, or all papers written in that session.

2.2 Personal and Confidential Nature

ICSI categorically treats the evaluated Answer Book as:

  • Personal information of the concerned student; and
  • Material that may be disclosed only to that particular student, not to any third party.

Accordingly:

  • The Institute will not entertain requests from parents, relatives, coaching institutes, or any other representative to obtain Answer Books.
  • The copy of the Answer Book(s) is meant to be accessed solely by the student whose roll number and registration number appear on those scripts.

Note: Even if someone holds an authorization from the student, the Institute’s policy is that the Answer Books will only be supplied directly to the student himself/herself.

3.2 Date from Which Portal is Operational

  • The portal will be operational for students from 26th August, 2026.
  • Students can submit their applications for copies of their evaluated Answer Books only through this portal.

Reminder: Since the Record Retention period closes on 9th October, 2026, applications and access must be completed before this date.

4. Step-by-Step Process to Obtain Answer Books

4.1 Submitting the Application

  1. Visit the ICSI Examination Answer Book Portal at https://cc.icsi.edu from 26th August, 2026 onwards.
  2. Use the “Apply Answer Books” tab on the portal.
  3. Provide the required credentials and details as prompted (such as registration number, examination session, subjects, etc.).
  4. Submit the application through the portal interface.
