ICAI launches Live Virtual Classes for CA Foundation January 2027 under New Scheme
The Board of Studies (Academic) of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has issued an announcement dated 2nd September 2026 introducing a fresh round of Live Virtual Classes (LVC) for CA Foundation students who will be appearing in the January 2027 Examination under the New Scheme of Education and Training.
These structured online sessions are intended to offer exam-focused coaching across all four CA Foundation papers, with a clear timetable, interactive features, and multiple access options through ICAI’s digital platforms.
1. Commencement date and overall structure
The Live Virtual Classes for the CA Foundation course are scheduled to begin from 16th September 2026. The teaching plan has been arranged to cover all subjects systematically within defined daily time slots.
Daily session framework
For the Foundation course, ICAI has prescribed two learning sessions each day:
- Session I: 11.00 AM to 1.00 PM
- Session II: 2.00 PM to 4.00 PM
These fixed time windows provide a predictable routine, enabling students to plan self-study around the virtual lectures.
2. Subject-wise schedule and start dates
The programme covers four CA Foundation subjects: Accounting, Business Laws, Quantitative Aptitude and Business Economics. Each subject is tied to specific days of the week and particular time bands.
2.1 Accounting and Business Laws
Classes for Accounting and Business Laws will commence from 16th September 2026.
Accounting
- Days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday
- First class date: 16th September 2026
- Time: 11.00 AM – 1.00 PM
Business Laws
- Days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday
- First class date: 16th September 2026
- Time: 2.00 PM – 4.00 PM
This arrangement allows students to attend both subjects on the same days, with Accounting in the morning session and Business Laws in the afternoon session.
2.2 Quantitative Aptitude and Business Economics
Classes for Quantitative Aptitude and Business Economics are scheduled to begin from 17th September 2026.

- First class date: 17th September 2026
- Time: 11.00 AM – 1.00 PM
Quantitative Aptitude
- Days: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday
- First class date: 17th September 2026
- Time: 2.00 PM – 4.00 PM
With this structure, students receive a balanced mix of law, accounting, economics, and quantitative subjects throughout the week.
3. Accessing the Live Virtual Classes via Zoom
The Board of Studies (Academic) has streamlined the process for joining these Live Virtual Classes through the BoS Knowledge Portal using Zoom integration.
