Central Bank of India Concurrent Audit Empanelment for FY 2026-27: Eligibility, Fee Structure & Application Process
Central Bank of India has formally invited online applications from Chartered Accountant firms and eligible ex-staff for Concurrent Audit assignments pertaining to the financial year 2026-27. The entire application process is conducted through an online portal, and the bank's Central Audit and Inspection Department, Central Office, Mumbai, is overseeing the empanelment exercise. Applicants are strongly advised to print or save a copy of their submitted application for future reference, as no physical copies are to be sent to any bank office unless specifically requested post-selection.
Documents and Information to Be Kept Ready Before Applying
Before initiating the online registration process, the following information and documents must be assembled:
- ICAI Concurrent Audit Certificate – Details of the partner or proprietor holding the ICAI certificate for concurrent audit of bank branches; a scanned PDF copy (not exceeding 200 KB) must be ready for upload.
- Branch Code – The specific branch code of the Central Bank of India branch or office for which the application is being made. Up to four branch/office preferences may be submitted.
- Distance from Firm's Office – Actual distance in kilometres between the CA firm's registered office and the preferred branch/office.
- RBI UCN – The Reserve Bank of India Unique Code Number assigned to the firm.
- RBI Category of the Firm – The classification under which the firm is registered with RBI.
- Complete Address Details – Including PIN code, city/district, and state.
- Permanent Account Number (PAN) – PAN of the CA firm.
- Firm Constitution – Whether proprietorship or partnership.
- ICAI Registration Number – The unique registration number allotted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
- Disciplinary Status – Whether the firm is currently subject to any inquiry by ICAI or RBI.
- Bank Concurrent Audit Experience (Last 5 Years) – Name of the bank, branch name, and the period of engagement.
- CDSL Audit Qualification – Firms qualified to conduct CDSL audits may apply for Concurrent Audit of the Emerging Business Branch (Code: 4082). If selected, a copy of the NISM Certificate for CDSL audit must be submitted before commencement.
- ICAI Skill Upgradation Training – Whether the firm has attended the skill upgradation training conducted by ICAI.
Warning: Any false or misleading information discovered at any stage will lead to immediate debarment of the CA firm from all bank assignments, and the matter will be reported to both RBI and ICAI for appropriate action.
Branch Categories and Eligible Applicants
The eligibility of CA firms or ex-staff to apply for a specific branch or office is contingent on the category of that branch. The matrix is as follows:

Note: Ex-staff members are not eligible to apply for Currency Chest Branches, Nodal Branches handling Government Business, or AD Category Branches.
